Shot on Location in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, Ajali Hiyo (an accident) presents itself as a short form documentary exploring the presence of Modernist Architecture in Tanzania and how the unique peculiarities of the East African context warped the vision of European Modernism in strange, delightful and unexpected ways. The documentary focuses on the work of Architect Anthony B. Almeida (1921-2019) who appears and provides voice over commentary for the film.
